CLEANING - TRIMMING - RECONSTRUCTING
For the most part, Herkimer Diamonds need only a quick cleaning with water once removed from the rock to look as dazzling and spectacular as a well cut carbon diamond. This is one of the most amazing traits of this double terminated crystal. It is not unusual to see a miner swish a crystal in his/her mouth to get a quick idea of how the crystal looks without mud. But sometimes crystals need a little more attention than a simple swish in the mouth, or run under the faucet
